THE SKIPPER



Hi my name is John Wallington and I am the Skipper of your vessel 'OUTCAST'!
I am 46 years of age and live where I fish.
I have been fishing for the last 39 YEARS so I think it is fair to say I am an experienced angler!

My vessel 'Outcast' is fully licensed and registered. I am a commercial fisherman who strives on being one of the most eco-friendly and sustainable fisheries in the UK.

I hold a FULL FISHING LICENCE and do not undertake any NETTING OR POTTING.

I have skippered my own boat for 7 years in commercial Bass fishing and this (2010) is my 3rd season chartering.
Myself and Outcast are registered with the South West Line Handling Fisherman's Association.

 80% of my income arrives from catching bass on rod & line,
which is supplied to Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall at River Cottage.
I also have dealings with Plymouth Market!

The boat records stand at;

BASS - 15lb 2oz with the greatest number of sizable bass at one time at 68 fish.
POLLACK - 22lb 11oz
COD - 12lb 8oz
BRILL - 8lb 30z
